Is it possible to change the colour?

Alex, I would also like to customize this theme with more pages…..I noticed that up top you have your pages listed, whereas on mine it automatically puts my categories across the top. I would like to have my pages in those slots instead of the categories, any help would be greatly appreciated!!

        thanks so much!

I am still waiting for your reply

I am so new to this, so I’m sorry if this is a dumb question. I love this theme, however, I can’t get my ABOUT page to display. I click on it and it just stays on the homepage.

Thanks again for a great looking theme.

    • By admin, September 26, 2009 @ 3:00 am

Hello George, I think it is working now? Just sent you an email to confirm.

      Greetings,
      Alex.

Hey I just wanted to pop in and say I really enjoy this theme. I’ve got one of my clients on it and they absolutely love it. (No I didn’t sell it to them, receive free… give free!)

    Hello,

I’m using your theme for my judo clube webpage. Everyone is loving the “new look” because i was using another theme before with limited options. Congratulations for making this one 🙂
But i have a question…it’s possible to make a sub-page visible but not to be showned in the menu? it’s because i want to “insert a link” in a page to another sub-page but i don’t want it to show in the menu because it’s gonna have lots of sub-pages and more sub-sub-pages (about 67) and you can see how it’s going to appear…never-ending sub-pages lol
    thanks for your attention

Hello Luis, thank you for your message and compliments! Yes there is a plugin to do that. Sending you the link via email to make sure you receive it.

      Greetings,
      Alex.

    Alex,

I really like this theme a lot. I did not need to do much to it at all.

That being said, some suggestions that I have (feel free to ignore them).

    1. The ability to hide or easily replace the RSS feed icon and link. I am using the template on a site where people have no idea what it is for. I manually altered the sidebar.php for now, but may need to do that every time the theme is update.

    2. I would love to see an additional sidebar option. So many widgets, so little room.

    3. The ability to easily add a header icon.

Please do not take my suggestions as any type of slight on the theme. I really do like it and plan on using it actively.

    Regards,

    Chris

Hello Chris! Very nice sugestions. I added all of them to the task list I have for this theme, basically a list of “things to do”. I am emailing you as I need more info about the point 3, and what kind of header icon would you like to see.

      Greetings,
      Alex.

      • By Chris, December 10, 2009 @ 1:02 am

        Alex,

Thanks for the response. Coffee money will be on its way soon.

With regard to point 3, I was looking to add a small (128×128) logo next to the blog title, but I ended up replacing the RSS feed icon instead.

On another note, I am using the WP-reCAPTCHA plugin. If I select “Enable reCAPTCHA for comments.” in the options for the plugin, I receive the following error on pages if comments are enabled:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /wordpress/wp-content/themes/tandil/comments.php on line 28

I actually do not use this feature, as the site I am using is more of a members only site, but thought you might find the info of some use.

        Regards,

        Chris

Hello Chris, thanks for that one. I was just testing a captcha plugin on one of my sites and it worked perfectly with this theme, however I think it’s a different captcha plugin the one you’re using. I will contact you since I need more details like what version of WordPress you are using. I just checked the plugin page and apparently that specific plugin doesn’t work with the latest version of wordpress. Maybe the plugin developer should be advised about this. Contacting you! Greetings, Alex.

    Beautiful theme!

Question/Suggestion: The color scheme is simple (but looks very good). Is it possible to change the color scheme (say from Red to Blue or green etc) from the dashboard?

I’ve seen other themes that allow you to do this w/o editing any files.

    • By admin, December 10, 2009 @ 8:11 pm

Hello there! Yes, this feature will be added soon. I have it on my “things to do” list. I can let you know when I add it if you want! Thx for the message! Greetings, Alex.

Hey, I’m back again. You’ve been so helpful in the past. Just a quick question. Forgive my ignorance, but how do I add a link that directs folks to a PDF file in the side bar? BTW, I love the theme & it’s working great for me. Thanks in advance for the help.

    • By admin, December 21, 2009 @ 3:58 pm

Hello Ted! Glad you are back! You can add it to your blogroll, just go to Link -> Add New and there you’ll need to add the url, name, description, etc. Contact me if you need anything else! Greetings! Alex.
